Kolomenskoe Museum-Estate

Kolomenskoe Museum-Estate is a former grand-ducal and Tsar residence, and today it's a culture preserve located near Moscow centre. Preserve area is almost 400 ha, great number of archaeological, natural and architectural monuments of world importance are found in its territory. Voznesenskay Church, built in the first half of 16th century, is among them. During several centuries this 62-meter tented-roof temple has been the highest building of Moscow. The major sightseeing of Kolomenskoe is tower-chamber palace of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich, restored in 2010. It's a replica of the palace built in 1667 that represented complicated system of separate premises jointed by sheltered passages. In total there were 270 rooms in the palace. The best wood carvers, blacksmith, painters and joiners worked at its decoration. Presenter of RTG TV Nadezhda Lebedeva visited reconstructed Tsar's apartments and learned what Russian monarch had preferred to read and how many people had had to taste tsar dish before serving.
