St. Petersburg is inextricably linked with the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. It was among the rivers and canals, granite embankments and luxurious palaces that the talented writer composed his work, generously praising the city that inspired him with his words. Almost 200 years have passed since Pushkin, a Russian literary hero, died. His work however is not the only thing surrounded by extreme popularity — there are also the places he lived and visited. One such establishment is the Wolf and Beranger Confectionery, which opened in 1816 on Nevsky Prospect. Nowadays it is home to the Literary Café, which continues to preserve the memory of Alexander Pushkin — even the tragic parts of his life. It is from this café that the poet set off to take part in the fatal duel that left him fatally wounded. RTG TV host Maria Mumicheva visited the famous establishment where she not only tried some of the popular dishes on the menu, but helped to prepare some of them herself.
