Snail Farm in Primorsko-Akhtarsk

They were used in food in Ancient Rome, there's more protein in them than in a chicken egg and they are a big problem gardeners. These are HELIX ASPERSA MAXIMA, or garden snails, and they are cultivated on one farm in southern Russia. These mollusks don't like high temperatures and prefer to spend most of the day in the shade, which the farmers themselves have created for them. Gastropods in general tend to be more active at night; therefore the farmers feed them closer to the evening.
