Zheleznovodsk and Yessentuki — Resort Towns

The region Caucasian Mineral Waters is located between the Black and the Caspian seas on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range only 90 kilometers far from Europe's highest mountain Elbrus. The smallest and the most beautiful town of Caucasian Mineral Waters is Zheleznovodsk. It's located in the valley between the mountains Bashtau and Zheleznaya. This is where one can have a unique opportunity to breath both forest and mountain air. There's the source of the Caucasus' hottest water in Zheleznovodsk. It's temperature makes up more than 50 degrees! There are such unique architectural monuments as the Palace of Emir Bukharsky and Pushkin's Gallery in the town's resort park. The another resort Yessentuki with another climate and different landscapes is situated only 20 kilometers far from Zheleznovodsk. First of all, Yessentuki means mineral waters known throughout Russia. By the way, this is where the first industrial bottling of the medical water started. Besides the water there's a lot of interesting thing to deal with in Yessentuki. In the center of the cultural park the Institution of Mechanotherapy is located, this is where training apparatuses of more than a hundred years old are kept and they still function without fail. Not far from the park the Yessentuki mud bath is situated. Having plunged into the mud for 15 minutes one can get a portion of health for the whole year. And the central square is decorated with out-of-cup fountain.
