The coast of St. Petersburg’s resort region is covered in 50 kilometres of wavy beaches. This area is home to a variety of restaurants very popular among local citizens. One such venue is the Gulf Stream restaurant. It is known for its spectacular views with several of its tables located in a cosy tower designed to resemble a lighthouse. The restaurant’s remaining dining rooms are no less interesting. The interior detailing takes visitors back to a time when mankind had just begun to explore the world, discovering previously unknown islands and continents. The restaurant walls also send guests on another journey – a culinary one. The menu consists not only of Gulf Stream’s original recipes, but of recipes from peoples all over the world. RTG TV presenter Maria Mumicheva visited Gulf Stream where she learned how to prepare a candied nut dessert perfect for the summer season and which was first described by Shahrazad, the heroine of the 1001 Nights fairytales.
