The largest collection of artifacts dedicated to the exploration of the Arctic is found in Russia’s northern capital, St. Petersburg. The Museum of the Arctic and Antarctic in home to more than 70,000 artifacts that tell about the work that travellers and scientists have done in the North Pole, the Antarctic, in various areas of the Arctic Ocean, Kamchatka and other difficult-to-reach regions on the planet.
