The fisherman's cuisine of Primoriye

Primorye, Russia’s South-Eastern krai, is where the world’s largest mainland, Eurasia, and the biggest ocean, the Pacific, meet. There volcanic plateaus neighbour rich forests and freshwater mountain lakes the sea. The Peter the Great Bay is known for its azure bays and fantastical underwater caves, but is also home to thousands of species of fish which are free for the catching. RTG TV host Denis Golovko, along with a crew of locals, dived to the bottom of the bay where he collected some traditional inhabitants of the ocean floor — sea cucumbers, scallops and sea urchins. He then learned some traditional Primorye recipes to test out in the preparation of his fresh catch.
