The literary estate of Bryansk oblast

The Russian “usadba” or “estate” often used to be referred to as a little dream-like escape or a tranquil shelter. Many creative people were born and lived on these provincial estates, among them writer Alexei Tolstoy and poet Fyodor Tyutchev. They were both born in Bryansk Oblast and nowadays their homes serve as museums dedicated to the famous writers. The literary estates are open to visitors and RTG TV host Olga Degtyareva took this opportunity to see the birthplaces of these famous literary figures in the villages of Krasniy Rog and Ovstug where she discovered just what inspired the gifted owners of these estates.
