It was he who found the place for construction of the first railway bridge over the Ob river. Shortly after the city of Novo-Nikolaevsk appeared near the bridge. Later it was renamed as Novosibirsk. Today it's the largest megalopolis of Siberia, economical, cultural and scientific centre of this reach region. In spite of its historical “youth” Novosibirsk surprises its guests with numerous unique objects. There's one of the largest railway stations (by the way, it has been projected the way it resembles a steam engine). This is in Novosibirsk where the world's longest train for subway was constructed. Moreover, there's the unique Museum of Siberian Birch Bar. There's the largest in Europe Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. And the local zoo is the largest one in Russia (it has an area of 60 ha). It's world-famous for a big and various collection of cat family and pedigree work – this is where animals supposed not to breed in captivity throw. The presenter Irina Pudova didn't get scared of 35 degree of frost and set out to the winter Novosibirsk.
