In Kaliningrad Oblast, the furthest west region in Russia, many people have settled in cities, towns and small villages on the coast of the Baltic Sea. A beautiful 19th-century house once belonging to a German landlord stands by one of these towns. Here many parks and gardens were built nearby, along with other outbuildings including a large stable full of thoroughbreds. Nowadays the luxurious Usadba Hotel is located on part of this territory, but besides this, not much else has changed – the residence continues opens its doors to guests that come to visit and enjoy the breath-taking natural environment, go horseback riding and try delicious local dishes. RTG TV host Olga Degtyareva set out for the Baltic coast and its surrounding areas to do just this.
