In the 17th century, a fishing village on the Kamyzyak River - one of the main branches of the Volga River delta - received the unofficial title of a «gold mine». Because of the large number of fish found in these waters, Astrakhan Oblast has developed its own special type of tourism exclusively associated with fishing. Getting the chance to cast a rod in one of these scenic spots is the dream of every adventurous fisherman. RTG host Igor Maximenko was lucky enough to have this chance.
